Hospital Programs for Acute Rehabilitation
St. Charles's hospital-based acute rehabilitation programs for infants, children, teens and adults are accredited by CARF--the global leader in rehabilitation accreditation--and custom designed to help our patients reclaim their lives following an amputation, brain injury, spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, orthopedic or neurological incident or diagnosis, or accident resulting in major physical trauma.
St. Charles is a leading hospital for acute rehabilitation in New York and our hospital programs draw adult and pediatric patients from all across Long Island and beyond.
Regardless of where they come from, or what their diagnosis may be, the lives of St. Charles patients have been greatly altered. They face new physical or neurological challenges and must remain motivated during therapy sessions while developing their lives in a new direction. St. Charles believes it is our responsibility to empower our patients in each of these areas and at every stage.
Our approach to care is driven by our mission of compassion and we work to help our patients to achieve the greatest amount of independence, while also equipping them with knowledge, skills and support networks that will help them continue making progress after discharged from St. Charles.
