The St. Charles Rehabilitation location in Melville is one of Long Island’s premier facilities for speech, occupational and physical therapy, boasting accreditation for outpatient medical rehabilitation from CARF, the global leader in rehabilitation accreditation.
Melville specializes in rehabilitation for patients following a concussion, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury (SCI) and many other neurological conditions. For neurologically complex patients, Melville offers a multidisciplinary approach, which means that patients receive more than one type of therapy to meet their complete needs. Patients treated here will find a host of ancillary support services to aid in their adjustment to new physical and neurological challenges following stroke, SCI, or brain injury. For added convenience, a St. Charles physiatrist (Rehab Doctor) sees patients in the Melville location.
Therapists at our Melville location are certified to provide the Schroth Method for the treatment and management of scoliosis. The Schroth Method is a promising new rehabilitation technique which can reduce scoilotic curvatures of the spine and may even eliminate the need for back surgery.
Melville also excels in treating orthopedic and sports medicine patients, including both children and adults following injury or surgery such as joint replacement and ACL reconstruction.
